HD Tune Pro is a hard disk / SSD utility with many functions. It can be used to measure the drive's performance, scan for errors, check the health status (S.M.A.R.T.), securely erase all data and much more.

Selle tarkvara abil saab kontrollida kõvaketta nn bad sectorite olemasolu ja ka vearaporti (kas on veateateid jm).

Kõik ruudud on rohelise värviga, mis tähendab, et kõvakettal ei ole ühtegi bad sectoreid.

Kui aga sisaldab punast ruutu, siis see tähendab, et kõvaketas on vigane ja tuleks välja vahetada. Kui kõvakettal on garantii olemas, siis saab saata tagasi poodi (läheb garantiijuhtumi alla).

Kui kõvakettal on bad sectoreid, siis Windowsis võib esineda BSOD'i ehk Blue Screen of Death.
